Please join us for this special visit from Blue Sky Studios, makers of Robots and Ice Age! Jimmy Hayward will discuss his role as a story consultant, writer and sequence director on the film ROBOTS. Through "before and after" clips, he will give examples of the changes he affected in order to strengthen story, character development, and overall pace of the film. Animator Everett Downing will discuss the animation process at Blue Sky Studios and, more specifically, his work on their latest film in production, ICE AGE 2.
Jimmy has been a feature animator and filmmaker for more than ten years. Most recently, he worked on 20th Century Fox & Blue Sky Studio's ROBOTS (2005) as a Sequence Director and Story Consultant. Prior to joining Fox/Blue Sky, Jimmy was a feature animator at Pixar on FINDING NEMO (2003), MONSTERS INC. (2001), TOY STORY 2 (1999), A BUG'S LIFE (1998), and TOY STORY (1995). Everett Downing began his career as a storyboard artist with Wildbrain and has been an animator at Blue Sky Studios for the last five years.
