Vancouver Does Visual FX
with Artifex Studios & The Embassy Visual Effects

Please join Marc Roth, Visual Effects Artist at The Embassy, and Adam Stern, President and Visual Effects Supervisor at Artifex Studios, for a look at the award-winning visual effects work being done in Vancouver. The presentation will explore visual effects production on everything from commercial work to feature films, looking at the differences between working for film and television. Production breakdowns will demonstrate the creative challenges of visual effects, showing how design, techniques and budgets influence the final result.
BIOS
Marc Roth
Emmy-nominated animator Marc Roth came to the Embassy after completing work on I, Robot and The Matrix Revolution. Specializing as a Visual Effects Artist, Marc has rejoined with the talented crew he first worked with when he started in the biz. Marc has over 30 credits in film, television and commercials – since he started his career in 1997.

Adam Stern
Adam started Artifex Studios in 1997. Over the past 9 years Artifex has provided visual effects, motion graphics and title design work for a number of films and television shows, including Mission to Mars, Along Came A Spider, Josie and the Pussycats, and The One. Artifex recently created the visual effects for the Sundance award-winning film Eve and the Firehorse and is currently working on the feature film Pathfinder, the Discovery Channel series Jetstream and the new CTV/comedy network series Alice, I Think.
