The Remake of Turok
March 5, 2008

Join the development team from Propaganda Games as they take us through the process of creating the art, design, animation and technology of Turok, their recently released HD remake of the classic dinosaur hunting game. Propaganda will bring some sculpts of the dinosaurs along, and those will be displayed in the lobby of the theatre. Come early and have a look. Doors open at 6:30 pm.

SPEAKERS BIOS

Daryl Anselmo
Director, Art

Daryl has 13 years of interactive art development experience, previously as Art Director at Electronic Arts Canada. At Electronic Arts, Daryl worked on the NBA Live franchise, and art directed the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Def Jam: Fight For New York, Def Jam Vendetta and NBA Street.


Jason Buchwitz
Lead World Artist

Jason is responsible for directing, mentoring and managing a talented team of artists to create compelling, immersive game environments. Prior to joining the Propaganda Games team, Jason spent several years as a traditional painter, selling his artwork through galleries across Western Canada before working at Rockstar Vancouver, building the open world environments of Bully.


Brett Pascal
Lead Animator

Brett has been working in the animation industry for 9 years. He received animation training at Applied Multimedia Training Centers, however, considers himself trained mostly "on the job". Brett also serves as an animation mentor for the Maya animation classes at Vancouver Film School.


Mike Perzel
Lead Rendering Programmer

Mike has been making games for 7 years, working predominately in Computer Graphics. He entered the industry after being one of the first graduates of the University of Calgary Games Programming course. He worked at Radical, Fluid Studios, and Electronic Arts before arriving at his current home as the Rendering Lead on Turok and Propaganda.


Steve Wrinch
Lead Animation Programmer

Steven has 6 years of experience working in the video game industry after receiving a Bachelors of Engineering from the University of Victoria. The majority of that time he has been responsible for designing Artist friendly workflows, animation tools and animation systems. He also has worked on artificial intelligence systems, physics systems and general gameplay features.
